Vendor Agreement

Thank you for requesting information about Monroe’s vibrant marketplace showcasing local crafters, artists and other vendors. We provide quality items to our patrons. Our booth pricing is competitive with other local comparative businesses. We will work the hardest to bring in the most customers possible to buy your goods. Peddler’s Paradise Monroe offers a variety of booth spaces and wants to work with you to accommodate your specific needs. We display all merchandise in a safe, clean and organized environment so our shoppers will keep coming back. In an effort to serve you more efficiently, we ask you to follow our rules and regulations listed below.

Vendor information:

  • Booth rental starts at $3.00 a square foot . Most popular booth size is 3'x5' which is $45 a month. 

  • There is a flat fee of $5.00- $10.00 added to each booth rental for marketing, bags, credit card fees, business supplies. 

  • Peddlers Paradise Monroe gets 20% of all sales from vendors. 

  • A 30 day written notice is required if moving out.

  • The rental agreement is month to month. Peddlers Paradise Monroe does reccommend the vendor staying at least 4-6 months to see how things go. 

  • First month rent and a deposit equal to first month's rent is due at signing.

  • Rent is due on the 1st of each month and can be paid via check, cash or venmo. 

  • No credit card or debit card sales are assessed /charged to the vendor.

  • Sales tax will be collected from the customer and paid to appropriate government entities by Peddlers Paradise Monroe.

  • All items brought in to decorate your booth must be removed upon surrendering the booth.

  • Only the vendor signing the agreement will be allowed to stock their area/store and remove items from their area/store. If the vendor would like to give someone else access to do this please add them to this agreement and have them sign it as well. 

  • Vendors shall not make any alterations or improvements in or to the booth without prior consent of Peddlers Paradise Monroe and consent may be withheld at Peddlers Paradise Monroe absolute discretion.

  • Vendors are responsible for providing their own display cases/tables/bookshelves or whatever they might need to display their products, unless there is available shelf space in my store that they can rent.  Display must be approved by Peddlers Paradise Monroe.

  • Vendors are required to come to the shop at least once a month to restock their booth, clean it and add seasonal items. 

  • Vendors can schedule time to use the downstairs for craft nights. This is an opportunity for you to make money and showcase your booth.  Peddlers Paradise Monroe will get 25% of the total fee that the vendor receives for craft nights instead of charging a flat rental rate. ( Ex.  Vendor gets $100 then fee will be $25 paid to Peddlers Paradise Monroe) Peddlers Paradise Monroe will post classes on their facebook page and on their website for people to sign up and pre-pay.

  • Vendor agrees to promote Peddlers Paradise Monroe through social media and help advertise all events held at Peddlers Paradise Monroe. This will essentially help the entire business, which will bring in new customers and create potential new sales.

  • Vendors cannot sell in any other store in the downtown Monroe area.


  • Peddlers Paradise Monroe will not be responsible for any loss or damage of merchandise, property or equipment, either from natural or unnatural causes, such as theft, fire, flood, wind, rain, or any other cause whatsoever.

  • Peddler’s Paradise Monroe is not responsible for items broken or stolen.

  • It is up to each person bringing in items to make sure the items are not on any recall list or are a hazard to anyone.

  • Any items with expired “use by date” will not be sold and may be pulled from stock by Peddlers Paradise Monroe. 

  • All items must be in working condition

  • All vendors must input their inventory into our richochet system. Peddlers Paradise Monroe will print stickers for the vendor and the vendor will put stickers on their items. 

  • Vendors must take all trash with them after set up/removal of items

  • Vendors are responsible for keeping their own space and merchandise clean and orderly. Peddlers Paradise Monroe is responsible for aisles, restrooms and the common area of the market.

  • All merchandise must be kept WITHIN each vendor’s assigned space. Customer walkways shall not be obstructed by merchandise.

  • Vendors may stock their booth any time during business hours. You may not keep the staff after hours to work on your booth.

  • You cannot sell items illegal for sale in the state of North Carolina and you cannot sell stolen items

  • The sale of counterfeit trademarked goods, any firearms, illegal fireworks or explosive materials, flammable materials, alcoholic beverages, racially discriminating and pornographic materials are strictly forbidden.

  • Additionally:

  • No weapons of any sort

  • No tobacco products

  • No damaged or infested items

  • No unapproved or non-licensed cooked food

  • No live animals, insects, fish or reptiles

  • No resale of mattresses

Sales Checks, Rents and Miscellaneous:

  • Booth rentals are sold on a pre-pay basis. (ie. May’s rent is due on or before May 1st.)

  • Sales are totaled from the first of the month to the end of the month. Sales checks will be available on the 7th. Sales checks can be picked up, by the vendor only, at the store after the 7th of the month. Or they can be mailed to you. Vendors can also be paid via venmo. 

  • Rent is due by the 1st of each month. If it is not received by the 5th of the month, a late fee of  $25 will be added to the amount due. No exceptions. Rent can be paid via check, cash or venmo.

  • If any vendor acts in a way deemed “detrimental” and/or commits “violent acts” to the store, staff, customers or other vendors, then Peddler’s Paradise Monroe has the right to terminate business with the vendor immediately. No refunds of rent will be given to vendor in this case.

  • Move-outs: Move-outs shall occur on or before the last day of the current rental period. Holdovers will be charged an additional rent. Management must be given a written 30 day notice in advance of a move- out BY THE FIRST DAY OF THE MONTH. Vendor must settle all over due rent charges and damages before removing merchandise from Peddlers Paradise Monroe.

  • Hours of operation: Monday – Friday 10:00am -6:00pm , Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm and Sunday 1:00pm-5:00pm. 

  • Store hours, days of operation and advertising campaigns can and will be changed and the signing of the vendor agreement doesn’t bind Peddler’s Paradise Monroe.

  • The store will be closed on the following holidays: New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day,  Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day,  Christmas Day and the day after Christmas.
